I have no sound on my comptuter?
That is a lot of information given, nice. Sadly none of it really points to a solid answer to your question. There is no entry listed for sound card hardware. You already knew that, though. This most likely means that the driver is missing/broken. Either way, here is a link to the integrated audio driver for your motherboard (Gigabyte Model# GA-8S661GXMP): http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Mothe...

In reply to Asker's Edit:

I included a link to the driver for your soundcard. You do not need software for your speakers.
Reply:Right click on MyComputer from the desktop icon or the start menu. Chose Properties then Hardware (tab),

click the Device Manager button. Scroll down the list to the topic of Sound / Video and Game Controllers

and expand it open so you can see what is listed.

If you believe that the audio drivers are installed on your system. Locate your Audio driver in the list. Here are some examples...

%26lt;example%26gt; Legacy Audio Driver.

%26lt;example%26gt; AC 97' Audio Controller

%26lt;example%26gt; SB Live Series!

Find your specific Audio Driver file, right click on it and Un-install / Remove it. (the Audio driver should be one of the only items that has the "Un-install / Remove" option under the right click.)

**WARNING *** Do not remove any of the video or audio Codec's**.

Restart the computer and Windows should come back up and say it has found new hardware and Windows will install the software. Your sound should then work.

If your sound still does not work, you might have to go to your computers manufactures website,(such as Dell, Compaq, Emachine sites). Choose their Support and Drivers section. Put in your make and model of your computer and bring up the list of drivers. Look for your sound driver, download it, install it and follow the programs on screen directions.
Reply:No sound card installed.
Reply:Assuming you've checked all your connections for anything loose, you possibly need to go into your devices to reinstall the drivers. (You could also do a system restore back to a day when your sound worked.)

Control Panel - Sounds, Speech and Other Devices.

Click Troubleshoot first and see what transpires. If this doesn't solve your problem, you can click on Sound and Audio Devices to see the drivers.

Once in here, double click the first sound device in the list. Select the "Driver" tab and you can then either click "update driver" or "rollback driver". You can try rollback first and if that doesn't work, then do an update. Do this with the other drivers.
Reply:I can't seem to see the BRAND of your Computer and it's model but if for example let's say it's a DELL computer and the model it Latitude then i would simply go to www.dell.com and click for technical support and then it will let me chose the model of the computer and LET ME DOWNLOAD DRIVERS(SOUND CARD,VIDEO CARD,LAN CARD and ETC...............) for the computer and i would install them!!!

it all simply depends on the brand and model of your computer and just go to the company's website to download DRIVERS for your computer
Reply:Buy speakers for your computuer and plug it on your computer.Simple:)
