Have you ever had this error messg. could not initialize AVG anti virus kernrel interface?

I keep getting this error message and when I try to uninstall AVG 7.0 I get another error message Initilizaton of language file C:\program files\Griftsoft\AVG7\setup.ins"failded" General Failure. THey are running win xp home edition

No, I've never had that error but I'm going to suggest something that you can try. Try uninstalling AVG in safe mode. To get into safe mode either press F8 repeatedly until you get a boot options screen at the BIOS splash screen and select Safe Mode or within Windows go to Start %26gt; Run type msconfig, press enter and then go to the BOOT.INI tab and select SAFEBOOT, click OK and restart, you will then be in safe mode. Now try to uninstall AVG. I'm not saying it will work, I'm just saying it's something you might try.
