Does anybody know how to install an add-on for world of warcraft? (part 2)?

Does anybody know how to install an (add - on) for world of warcraft?


I went thru the necessary steps:


1. downloaded file


2. unzipped/ extracted file


3. coppied content of file(s) into appropriate directory (c:wow\interface\add-ons) *but what do i name the (add on) folder to where the files go to? just (add ons)


4. made sure the directory was correct and software content of game validated appropriate directory


5. made sure there was an add-on folder (one was already pre-made)





I now know that i have to put the files in a subfolder in the add ons folder but i have no idea what to name that folder. I've tried (addon, addons, i've tried a lot of things...but its not working)





when i log on to world of warcraft i dont see an add - on button by ANY corner of the character selection screen.





somebody please help me!! i just want to a coordinate sequence attached to my interface!!

You should unzip your downloaded file to the "addon" folder in your warcraft folder (example: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\"YourFile"





Next login to "WOW" and select the character you want to play, but before entering click the "addon" button located on the bottom lefthand side of the screen. Now you can click load all "addons" or pick them one by one. Be sure to check "load out-of-date" as most addons are normally behind Warcraft patches.


This should work, if it does not let me know and we can try some other options.

Reply:The folder name you're looking for is "addons". Inside of that folder, you want to place the folders in the archive you downloaded. It will look something like "c:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\MyAddon1"

Reply:When you extract the file, It should ask you if you want to put it like somewhere special. THATS when you find c:wow\interface\add-ons and then put it there.





To find that, you should have to click "browse" or something like that.
