World or warcraft....?

i downloaded an addon for auctioneer which alows you to scan.it came as a zip file so i extracted files to c:programfiles/worldofwarcraft/interface... but it has not worked is there an easier place to download it?or what am i doing wrong please help.....

Okay, I use addons all the time. Auctioneer is a very popular addon tool.





- Extract the zip file in the same directory the zip file is kept.





- Go into the extracted folder, there should be a folder named Auctioneer, or something like it. Select it and press Ctrl+X





- Navigate to C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface. Look to see if there is a folder in there named "Addons". If so, go into it and press Ctrl+V. If the folder doesn't exist, create one, and then go inside and press Ctrl+V.





Next time you start the game, the addon will load and you'll be ready to go.
Reply:You need to put it into your Addons folder. The usual path for it is:





C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons





One thing to keep in mind - Auctioneer is not currently working since patch 2.0 last week. The people who wrote it have said they're in the process of getting a new, working version out, and that it will probably be out in another week or so. The official website for it is:
