hi...
can anyone please upload a schematic of how to interface a microcontroller with a computer via any of these three ports.. parallel, serial or usb.... and can anyone also please tell me how to read simple binary data in the computer which is received at the ports(preferably using C)......?
even any kindof reference will be of grt help...
thanks
Data communication between microcontroller and computer via ports?
my dear friend first i need this following to help you out..
which micro controller.
or I have a choice to choose one.
i would choose a simple one as PIC
PIC 16F84 or PIC 16F877A
which have UART on them built in.
RS232 (com serial) is easiest.
Parellel... it depends how u do it for me its same as serial in difficulty.
USB most difficult if u r a begineer.
search for "pic rs232" on google u will get a few thousand results with ready programs..
well one clue to tell u
for RS232 (com/serial port) u can use MAX 232 family of IC this is made by maxim semiconductor.
source code examples for it are all availabe on net
http://www.piclist.com/techref/microchip...
this will give u wealth of information on the topic..
any more help needed search for me on internet using my keywords.
